Under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order Employers must adhere to a minimum fire safety standard in non-domestic premises such as a fire risk assessment.

All security staff should have some form of fire awareness training. In some workplaces there will be a requirement for trained fire marshals and in others more advanced training.
